BANYAN TREE GROUP ANNOUNCES ITS FIRST HOTEL COMPLEX IN SPAIN WITH ANGSANA REAL DE LA QUINTA BENAHAVÍS MARBELLA

We are pleased to announce the appointment of the Banyan Tree Group as the operator of the Angsana Real de La Quinta Hotel

The Banyan Tree Group is one of the world’s leading multi-branded hospitality groups, and the Angsana Real de La Quinta will be their first property in Spain.

Ninety nature-integrated guestrooms and suites will circle an oasis courtyard, and the hotel will also offer three dining venues for all day dining along with pool bar and grill concepts, wellness & spa facilities which are one of the strengths of the group and a kid’s Club along with a wide range of complementary services.

There are also to be a limited number of branded residences in two and three bedroom configurations which will enjoy private courtyards, swimming pool and daily housekeeping and maintenance from the hotel.

The Singapore-based hotel group will bring a disruptive Angsana concept to Marbella, Spain.

It will form part of Real de La Quinta, the residential project with the largest leisure offer on the Costa del Sol, located in a unique enclave of Marbella-Benahavís that, in addition, will have the exclusive El Lago Club since 2025.

Banyan Tree Group, one of the world’s leading hotel groups, has signed an agreement with La Quinta Grupo Inmobiliario to develop a hotel and residential complex under the name of Angsana Real de La Quinta Benahavis Marbella, which is scheduled to come into operation in 2026. The resort will be located in the Malaga town of Benahavís, on the Costa del Sol and adjacent to the world-renowned tourist center of Marbella. The complex, which is the group’s debut in Spain, will include a luxury hotel, branded residences, apartments and commercial spaces.

Located in the residential area Real de La Quinta -belonging to the Spanish partner La Quinta Grupo Inmobiliario- of more than 200 hectares, Angsana Real de La Quinta Benahavis Marbella will enjoy spectacular views over the hills and the blue of the Alboran Sea. Led by OBMI with interiors by MKV Design and landscaping by RSR Studio, the design celebrates and encourages the coming together of friends and family in a light and airy setting. Comprising clean lines and simple silhouettes, the architecture incorporates elegant brick and stone patterns that reference local materials and building traditions.

The fluid, modern interior design is inspired by the resort’s architecture and honors the feeling of retreat on the beautiful, tree-lined slopes of the Sierra de las Nieves. The large windows offer panoramic views and a great sensation of spaciousness, while the social spaces decorated with orange trees and different aquatic ecosystems invite you to meet in an environment that reflects both the essence of Angsana, which invites you to enjoy every moment, as well as the Andalusian spirit.

In addition to 90 rooms and suites harmoniously integrated into nature that surround a delicious patio that emerges in the form of an oasis, the hotel will also have three restaurants, designed to offer high-level gastronomic experiences at any time of the day, a snack-bar with author and another space enabled for consumption in the pool; along with professional meeting areas; spa and kids’ club; pools for the whole family; as well as an amphitheater for weddings. The Branded residences, from 97 to 151 square meters, make up a meticulously orchestrated composition of light and atmosphere that, at the same time, responds to the needs of an eminently family lifestyle. The Angsana residences, with two and three bedrooms, will have a private patio, swimming pool, parking, daily cleaning and maintenance services.

In order for families to enjoy immersion in the local ecosystem through activities inside and outside the hotel, Angsana Real de La Quinta Benahavis Marbella will offer moonlight rowing boat rides on the lake of Real de la Quinta (with beach area), nature excursions to explore the local flora, including enjoying the adjacent UNESCO biosphere reserve. Real de La Quinta will also have a restaurant area, managed by the renowned Grupo Azotea, as well as a Health and Wellness area, with the prestigious seal of Le Max Club, one of the most chic and luxurious destinations in Spain and the south. of Europe.
