Since absentee homeowners aren’t easily available to handle emergencies, attend the overseeing of repairs, or perform basic errands, caring for a home can be a challenge. As well, most insurance companies require that someone check on a property at specific times, which can be a burden for absentee homeowners.

What We Do As Your Home Monitor

Weekly Home Check Services – We’ll be happy to walk in and around for a thorough inspection of your home to make sure all is as it should be.

Basic Interior Absentee Home Check

  • Weekly inspection of the property
  • Check that security system is functioning
  • Resetting electric appliances/breakers from power outage/surge
  • Check smoke alarms/replace batteries
  • Blinds are adjusted
  • Flush/check all toilets
  • Run/check all faucets
  • Run kitchen sink disposal
  • Watering of indoor plants (if requested)
  • Function of the furnace/heater or air conditioner
  • Doors/windows locked
  • Function of the refrigerator
  • Removal of newspapers
  • We can start your cars if you wish
  • We can act as you emergency contact in your absence
  • If a problem is detected and requires immediate attention, we’ll contact you and handle it for you
  • Cleaning and laundry service before and after your visit (additional cost)

Basic Exterior Absentee Home Check

  • Inspect area for vandalism and forced entry
  • Check doors, windows & screens to be sure they are secure
  • Clear out unwanted flyers and newspapers from your yard/mailbox
  • Check roof and gutters
  • Check outside faucets
  • Additional controls after stormy weather

On-Call Services (at an additional cost depending on the effort)

Marbella WOHNEN Home Watch will act as your local contact for such immediate concerns as alarm, fire/police, neighborhood associations, deliveries etc. – a liaison to you. Someone to make local decisions for you in your absence.
