The British developer Taylor Wimpey has started the construction of Marbella Lake, its new housing development in which it plans to invest 35.5 million euros, located in the heart of the Golf Valley, in Nueva Andalucía, 5 kilometers from Puerto Banús and the beach.

The firm continues to strengthen its position on the Costa del Sol, where it has increased its sales volume by 59% compared to 2020, with Belgians and British being the foreigners who buy the most in the area, according to data from Taylor Wimpey.

Marbella Lake consists of 98 apartments with 2 and 3 bedrooms surrounded by gardens and four swimming pools, with a wide range of spaces.

All the apartments have landscaped living rooms and large terraces with panoramic views, a garage space and a storage room, with a price starting at 285,000 euros.

The company continues to bet on the construction of sustainable homes, with the installation of solar panels for water heating, LED lights, presence detectors and pre-installation of recharging points for electric vehicles, obtaining an energy certificate for category B emissions.

The urbanization is located next to the Los Naranjos, Las Brisas and Aloha golf courses, near the Aloha College international school.

Recovery

The brick sector is immersed in a clear recovery, according to the company. The report of the College of Registrars reveals that the demand for homes has increased by 13.6% compared to the first quarter of 2021, with the increase being even greater in the acquisition of new construction properties, with a 23.4% increase.

Home prices have also increased, with a 4.8% increase compared to the first quarter of this year (8.15% in the case of new construction homes). It is, therefore, an ideal time to make a real estate investment in Spain.

According to data from Taylor Wimpey Spain, sales in the area have increased by 59% compared to 2020, with customers of 15 nationalities who are betting on the Costa del Sol as a destination to live, enjoy a vacation or to make an investment.

Belgians occupy the first place in number of acquisitions on the Costa del Sol, followed by the British who, despite the difficulties generated by mobility restrictions and Brexit, continue to invest in the area.
